PWS Property Investing Summit 2023

What a weekend this was! Two days of learning and networking, the summit brought both challenges and rewards…

There’s nothing like starting your Sunday morning at 5am. Especially after starting Saturday at 5am as well, driving over 3 hours both ways, and having two more 3+ hour drives today, too…

But for the opportunity we had, it was all worth it!

Stay or go?

Before the summit even began, we had to decide – should we stay up in Birmingham over night? or travel there, travel back, and repeat on Sunday?

Either way the 8:45 start would be tricky, but the dogs back at home made the decision for us, needing some time, attention and food.

So, we committed to the journey, travelled up, and got started…

Day 1 – The markets and the strategies

After arriving, we had a little time to network and meet some of the members of our course, along with some new faces, and got signed in on time.

A day of details, taking notes in Miro really was the MVP as we could never remember everything without it! Starting with the current state of the housing market, and the potential of the future, we progressed into investment strategies and how to do it right!

Making sure to take full advantage of the free coffee supplied, we powered through and learned a lot!

Then, wrapping up the day, plenty of networking with other members gave us a chance to start making some initial connections in the industry.

Day Two – Diving into details

What do you look forward to most on a Sunday morning ?

Sleeping in? relaxing?

Or waking up at 5am, driving over 3 hours and being plunged into a technical Tax presentation and Q&A session?

Well… we chose the latter. Fortunately, this was a valuable insight into the various possibilities for property investing and ensured no stone was left unturned for the journey ahead.

After all, investing can’t be all fun and games, the rules and regulations, taxes and risks are all essential for a methodical and effective investor to succeed.
